Upgrade to Niro PDF Pro 14 won't activate. Expired Trial. Automated deactivation page returns "Please select devices to deactivate"

Upgrading from Nitro PDF Pro 13.

Installed Nitro PDF Pro 14.

Shows "Expired Trial".

Green "Activate Now" button does nothing.

Help-> Activate does nothing.

Help-> About Nitro PDF Pro -> Activate button:  flashed "your trial has ended...", then nothing.

Support Center-> Submit a Support Ticket -> enter name & serial number -> what do you need help with today -> activation:

Need Help Activating Nitro Pro?-> Enter Your Serial Number -> Find License

Deactivate Button: Please select devices to deactivate.

Thank you for reaching out through our Community Forums!

Please perform the following and see if you can proceed with activating the software under the Help tab > About Nitro PDF Pro > Activate:

1. Download the Nitro cleanup tool from the link below:
https://downloads.gonitro.com/professional_14.7.1.21/install-cleanup/install-cleanup.zip

Please note that customized stamps will be removed since this tool will remove all traces of Nitro. If you have customized stamps, please refer to the link below about how to transfer/backup stamps:

Skip this part and move to the next step if you do not have any customized stamps.

2. Extract the cleanup utility then run the cleanup tool by double-clicking nitro-cleanup.vbs. Please be aware that a command window will appear during the cleanup process.
3. After the cleanup, restart the computer. 
4. Download and install Nitro PDF Pro 14 using the installer from the link below:

64bit - https://downloads.gonitro.com/professional_14.7.1.21/en/retail/nitro_pro14_ba_x64.msi 
32bit - https://downloads.gonitro.com/professional_14.7.1.21/en/retail/nitro_pro14_ba_x86.msi

5. Once Nitro PDF Pro 14 is installed, launch the software then navigate to the Help tab > About Nitro PDF Pro > Activate. Enter your serial number and then click Activate.
