Licence invalid?

My previous license will not operate on my new pc and advises it has expired.  I have deleted the licence as suggested but it still doesnt work.  It shows that there are zero activations and 2 allowed. 

I purchased the licence when on version 10 (I believe) and am working on version 12 which I understood would accept.

Can you help please?
