Nitro repeatedly hangs when attempting to save a pdf, requiring me to use task manager to end the program. I have tried to trouble shoot and repair the program through the control panel to no avail. I am using Microsoft Windows 11 on a new HP computer.

Hello @Jay Michelsen,

Thank you for reaching out to us through our Community Forums and our sincere apologies for the inconvenience.

As part of troubleshooting, please uninstall your current Nitro PDF Pro 14 through Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features, reboot the machine then install an older build which is Nitro PDF Pro 13.6.0.108 using these MSI installers:

x32 http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_1360108/en/retail/nitro_pro13_ba_x86.msi
x64 http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_1360108/en/retail/nitro_pro13_ba_x64.msi

To know if you have 32-bit or 64-bit, please refer to this article: https://support.microsoft.com/en-ph/help/15056/windows-32-64-bit-faq

After installation, you can activate it by opening Nitro PDF Pro, clicking on the Help tab > About Nitro Pro > Activate by entering your v13 serial number 504952-xxyyzz-460721

Thank you for choosing Nitro and I hope this helps.

Hello @Jay Michelsen,

It could be your Antivirus program that is giving that message.

Rest assured our MSI packages are safe and virus-free.

Hi @steve chrisman,

Thank you for reaching out to us through our Community Forums.

Our Product Team is already aware of this issue where Nitro PDF Pro does not respond when saving the file to Google G: drive. Not too long ago, Google changed the security policy around embedded browsers. Nitro PDF Pro does use an embedded browser to access Google Drive and, for this reason, it may not behave as expected.

Feel free to visit our Release Notes page that specifically mentions the removal of Google Drive integration with the release of Nitro Pro 13.44 in relation to Google's article below:

https://www.gonitro.com/product-details/release-notes

https://developers.googleblog.com/2020/08/guidance-for-our-effort-to-block-less-secure-browser-and-apps.html

For this reason, we have two possible workarounds below:

1. To save the document to the local desktop first and then copy that file from the desktop to Google G: drive.

2. To sync a Windows Explorer folder with the Google Drive desktop app. You should be able to open files and save files in the synced folder without an issue as the integration is handled by both the desktop app and Windows itself.

Thank you for choosing Nitro and I hope this helps.
