Unable to activate with Serial Number

I have an email from 2021 with my serial number for Nitro Pro.
I've had my computer wiped clean and I have now downloaded Nitro Pro trial version.
When I try to add my serial number it can find the licence, but it won't activate. It says there was an error activating.
I've tried to go through the manual process and copy the really long certificate number and activate that way, but still getting an error.
I don't have any activations of Nitro Pro currently in place; so I have 2 activations available.
Can someone please help me? I'm getting nowhere trying to submit a support ticket.

In checking your email address, I see a version 13 license purchase. 
Could you please try installing the latest build of Nitro PDF Pro 13 and see if it will proceed with the activation?

The installer can be located from the link below: 
https://www.gonitro.com/product-details/downloads - click the 'Download Nitro Pro 13' link. 

After the installation, you can activate by launching the application then navigating to the Help tab > About Nitro Pro and clicking Activate. From there, it should prompt you to enter a serial number.
