Brien Hamilton Posted February 23 Report Posted February 23 I have a Form that I have added a bunch of text boxes and checkboxes that I don't want the people I am sending the pdf to, to be able to modify. So, I have added a password to "Require a password to change security and access specific functions" Printing allowed: High Resolution Changes allowed: none unchecked: Enabled copying of text, images and other content unchecked: Enable text access for screen reader devices... But, the document still allows editing the text. And when I look at the document properties/security EVERTHING is allowed. How do I make it so that printing is allowed but nothing else? Also, it would be super nice if I could add a jpg from the computer to this message Thanks, BG
Official Nitronaut Reymund Oyong Posted March 2 Official Nitronaut Report Posted March 2 Greetings Thank you for reaching out through our Community Forums! I could not reproduce this when following the workflow below: 1. Open the document in Nitro PDF Pro. 2. Go to File > Document Properties > Security tab. 3. Set the Security Method to Password Security, and apply the following: 4. Click Finish and then Ok. 5. Click Save the close the document. 6. Open again the document in Nitro PDF Pro. See screenshot below: If needed, here's the file so you can review it. FormPasswordSecurity.pdf If you save and then reopen the file, are you not receiving a notification that the document is restricted or has limited to some features similar to the above screenshot? Kind regards,
Brien Hamilton Posted March 2 Author Report Posted March 2 Hey thanks for getting back to me on this. I figured it out shortly after posting the question. But, I do have another issue. When I open a pdf with Nitro PDF Pro 14.19.1.29 it is unreadable. If I open the same pdf with Acrobat it looks fine. I'd like to show a comparison picture but, I can not post an image into this message and "insert image from url" does not seem to be working. So, here is the link to the comparison image. https://imgur.com/a/QsAISY6 My older version of Nitro Pro PDF worked fine so, if this is not fixable I'd like to go back to the previous version of Nitro, that I was using. Thank you, B Hamilton
Official Nitronaut Reymund Oyong Posted March 15 Official Nitronaut Report Posted March 15 Greetings @Brien Hamilton Can you share a copy of the PDF file so we can review and test it? You may also try downgrading from the 14.19 to 14.18 build and see if the issue persists. To do this, uninstall 14.19, then install 14.18 using the installer from this link: Kind regards,
