When a Digital Signature is placed on a document, it also comes with ranging levels of security. This security option will prevent you from doing certain tasks and editing the document, such as using the Redact tool. To check and see the security restrictions imposed, open the file in Nitro Pro and go to, File > Document Properties > Security tab. As an alternative, you can use the Nitro PDF Creator to create a new document similar to a scanned PDF document. To do so, go to "File > Print" and select the Nitro PDF Creator as your printer. When you click "Print", it will ask you to choose a save destination. Once the new document is created, you should then be able to Redact the sensitive information.
