How to set default dimension text color to Red?

You should be able to do this on a per-tool basis I believe.  Use the tool you want, then select the item, right-click on it and choose "Make current Properties default".

You can also access this menu from the Properties tab that is visible when you have any of the annotations selected- choose Set as Default.

It's a Distance Properties, I could change the color of the lines and the arrows, but not the Text.

My background drawing is in Black and the dimension Text is lost in the background.
