Nitro 9 freezes after activating the license

I just replaced my computer and installed Nitro 9 again. I have used the program some days now without activating the license,  and it worked fine until I enabled my license. After activation, it takes more than a minute to open any file. This makes it challenging to use Nitro...

What can I do to fix this?

Before continuing, I should let you know that we no longer support Nitro Pro 10 or older. It has been discontinued as documented in our Sunset Policy: https://www.gonitro.com/support/sunset-policy

As a courtesy, I recommend that you repair your Nitro Pro via the Control Panel > Programs and Features. Please reboot your computer before and after running this repair to ensure that there are no ties to Nitro still active in the background. You may refer to this article: http://kb.gonitro.com/knowledgebase#/search/repair/000001641

Alternatively, if you were interested in upgrading your license to Nitro Pro 12 with VIP Access (formerly Software Assurance), we could scrap all the old installations and start on a fresh serial number.
