PeterReed
Hi, I have a very old version of Nitro PDF pro - 6.2.3.6 and have attempted to update it. when clicking on the "Check for Update" button, a pop-up appears with the message; "There was a problem connecting to Update Service." I have internet connection, so the obvious issue is not relevant. The primary reason for updating is my version has suddenly started to crash every time I attempt to open a document. I don't wish or need to buy the latest version, so any advice as to how best fix this issue? Thanks!
Official Nitronaut Kelvin B. Villarin Posted January 29, 2019 Official Nitronaut Report Share Posted January 29, 2019 Hi @PeterReed, Thanks for posting on our Community Forums! I need to let you know that we no longer support that version. It has been discontinued as documented in our Sunset Policy: https://www.gonitro.com/support/sunset-policy#sunsetPolicy Since you prefer using Nitro Pro 6, I highly suggest doing a fresh install of Nitro Pro 6 and make sure there are no corrupt files. Here are the steps: Kindly use this MS FixIt tool to remove all traces of Nitro Pro: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/mats/program_install_and_uninstall Reboot. When your system is back up, close all of your open applications and install the latest build of Nitro Pro 6 using the link I have provided below: http://kb.gonitro.com/knowledgebase#/search/retail/000001632 After installation, you can activate by opening Nitro, clicking on the Help tab > About Nitro Pro > Activation and enter your serial number I hope this helps.
