Nitro pro 12 stopped working

Nitro pro 12 stopped working in the app.  It works as add-on in word.  The repair and uninstall will not work as it is showing "Something is Blocking Nitro from Proceeding  - the following files are in use.  You will have to close the applications before the installation can proceed:  Microsoft Word and Nalpeiron Licensing Service must be closed before proceeding."

There are no open files or apps, and I cannot use the Nitro app at all.  Please help!

In order for me to further assist you with your concern, could you please provide the following?:
-When it stopped working, did it revert to Trial mode? If yes and prior to this event, did your machine installed major Windows Updates?
-When you received the error message you provided, are you in the process of reinstalling the program or you are attempting to uninstall?
-Have you tried rebooting the machine and tried to uninstall again the program?

Hi Allain, 

There was something going on with my Office 365 and it was affecting Nitro Pro. Yes, I had updated all of Office 365 previously and was working with Microsoft directly.  They actually created the problem, in my opinion.  So, because of that and other issues that I was experiencing, I reformatted my entire computer and reloaded all of Windows + Office 365 + Nitro, and now it is back working perfectly.   Thanks for reaching out.
