TDD 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2019 Every time I open a document, I get an annoying pop-up on the document suggesting I use OCR, and it won't go away unless I click on it. Anyone know how to stop this?
AllainU 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2019 Hello @TDD, Thank you for reaching out to us through our Community Forums! Kindly note you can turn this option off. To do so, open up Nitro Pro and go to, "File > Preferences > Notifications" and uncheck the option, "Show In-Product Messages". This will prevent the OCR message from popping up! Thank you for choosing Nitro and I hope this helps!
TDD 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2019 That worked - thank you! Other than that, I love Nitro!
Just2Help 0 Report post Posted December 18, 2019 The floating OCR window was a pain and forever in the way of some important text, so turning it off is helpful. BUT Sadly Version 13.X now requires you to turn off ALL "Show In-Product Messages" and not just the OCR floating window. PROBLEM: Now that I'm not chasing one irritating message off/around the screen, I have no quick way of seeing if the document has actually been OCR'ed My fast "tried and tested" Nitro 3.5.X (which surprisingly I still use as a default reader for its simplicity) has a nice unobtrusive notification at the top of the document. (Tried to link image here - no success) See: https://www.dropbox.com/s/67aj40qerggtveu/NON OCR.jpg It could alternatively be put in the status bar (along with other notifications that you now deem "in-product messages" necessary for a professional product such as this) Nitro, a great recommendable product.
