My serial number is invalid

I am trying to activate my updated nitro, purchased unlimited upgrades but when I follow the activation instructions, it says my serial number is invalid  I deactivated my previous license and i have 2 available to use.

What should I do? I have all my documentation saved from time of purchase.

I have checked your account records and I can see you purchased a Nitro Pro 12 with Product Updates last September 2018.

If you are having issue activating, I believe you have installed Nitro Pro 13 and attempted to activate using your Nitro Pro 12 serial number. Unfortunately, this will not work because upon purchasing any versions of Nitro Pro, our Marketing Team will send a new serial number.

I would also like to share that Update is way different with Upgrade. Updating is when a newer build is released of the same software version you are currently using. For example, if you had Nitro Pro 12, with build 12.0.0.112 installed, you can then update to 12.16.3.574 (the most recent release to date).

Updates include items like bug fixes, enhancements, and security updates. This is why we recommend that you are always running the current build of the software.  To find the latest the update for your particular version of Nitro Pro please visit this link:  https://www.gonitro.com/nps/product-details/downloads

With regards to Upgrading, it is when a newer version of Nitro Pro is purchased. An example would be upgrading from Nitro Pro 10 to Nitro Pro 11 (same with Nitro Pro 12 to Nitro Pro 13 for free if you purchased VIP Access).

To further assist you, please reinstall your Nitro Pro 12 using below direct installers:

After installation, you can activate by opening Nitro Pro, clicking on the Help tab > About Nitro Pro > Activate by entering your Nitro Pro 12 serial number.

So the long and short is I paid for "unlimited upgrades" but that is not true.  It is only *unlimited upgrades, v12 and only v12.

however, If I would like to get a new version, v13 I would have to but it again and v14 again, etc?
