Hello @jeffa,

Thank you for your patience.

Are you aware of the type of driver you are currently using? Is it by any chance a PCL or PostScript driver?

Have you also tried uninstalling and reinstalling your printer driver? How did it go?

Thank you very much in advance and I am looking forward to hearing back from you.

Hi AllainU,

Have updated.  Same issue. Using whatever the standard driver configuration is through the Epson setup.  Is wireless.  Note that it has also failed printing to PDF through the Nitro PDF creator .  The file is ~3mb A3 colour drawing and prints OK throgh Adobe reader DC.

Hello @jeffa,

My apologies for this inconvenience.

To further assist you, would it be possible to send us a copy of the file so we do some test prints on our end?

To send it via private message, hover your mouse on top of my name 'AllainU' and select 'Message'.

Thank you very much in advance and I am looking forward to hearing back from you.

  • 2 months later...

Hi Allain,

I am still having issues with Nitro freezing when sending to either physical or virtual printers, particularly with larger files.  For any dwg to PDF file I need to resort to Acrobat DC to print.  I am also experiencing random crashed/freezing up (the latest being this morning when trying to combine 2 documents).

This is becoming very frustrating and unproductive and is only something that has been happening in the last few months post upgrades.  Previously I never had any issues and was very happy with the product

Hello @jeffa,

Our sincere apologies for this inconvenience.

We are pleased to inform you that we have released a recent update that address different issues so kindly update by referring to these steps:

1. Clear the content of the directory under C:\users\your_username\Appdata\local\temp. For whatever reason, not all temp files automatically remove themselves and is NOT usually caused by Nitro Pro files. Kindly note Appdata folder is hidden and to unhide it, please refer to this article https://cybertext.wordpress.com/2012/05/29/cant-see-the-appdata-folder/

2. Download and run our Clean Up utility to uninstall your Nitro Pro: http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_13151282/install-cleanup/install-cleanup.zip

NOTE: This clean-up tool will erase any existing signature files within Nitro so please save them to another location before using the clean-up tool in order to keep them. Please see this link for backing up custom stamps/signatures: https://kb.gonitro.com/knowledgebase#/search/stamps/000004307

3. Please clear all your downloads folder or delete all downloaded Nitro installers. This step is important because we noticed that if you are saving all the installers and you download them in the same folder (like the downloads folder), the EXE can pick up any MSI installer in that folder and you may pick-up one of the older builds instead of the newly downloaded package.

4. Download and install Nitro Pro 13.15 using below offline installers:

x32 http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_13151282/en/retail/nitro_pro13_ba_x86.msi
x64 http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_13151282/en/retail/nitro_pro13_ba_x64.msi

If you are not sure which to pick, this will help:  https://kb.gonitro.com/knowledgebase#/search/64/000003790

5. After installation, you can activate by opening Nitro Pro, clicking on the Help tab > About Nitro Pro > Activate by entering your serial number.

Feel free to also read the Release Notes for this new build by accessing this page: https://www.gonitro.com/nps/product-details/release-notes

Thank you for your patience and please let us know if you are still having issues with regard to crashing and printing.
