On a new Windows10 desktop PC, I tried to install a licensed Nitro pro 11 by downloading the trial version installer.

After the download section,  the installation stops and shows "Nitro Pro Setup Wizard has failed"...

Hello @eam2020,

Thank you for reaching out to us through our Community Forums!

Since I am unable to pull-up your account, could you please provide the serial number of your Nitro Pro 11?

To send it via private message, hover your mouse on top of my name 'AllainU' and select 'Message'.

This matters because our business installers are different from the online ones.

Thanks and I am looking forward to hearing back from you.

Hello @eam2020,

Thank you for the private message.

Before continuing, I should let you know that we no longer support Nitro Pro 11 or older. It has been discontinued as documented in our Sunset Policy:   https://www.gonitro.com/support/sunset-policy

If you are interested in upgrading your license to Nitro Pro 13 with VIP Access (formerly Software Assurance), kindly access our Upgrade Portal and enter your Nitro Pro 11 serial number: https://www.gonitro.com/pro/upgrade

You should then receive an email confirmation with a new serial number to activate Nitro Pro 13. The new installing will install properly without any failed error message

To know more about some enhancements and fixes with Nitro Pro 13, please visit our Release Notes page  https://www.gonitro.com/nps/product-details/release-notes

Otherwise if you prefer staying with your Nitro Pro 11, carefully follow the steps up to step 7 on this KB article:  https://kb.gonitro.com/knowledgebase#/search/failed/000003595

The above article will allow your user account to take ownership and gain permission to access the WindowsApps folder.

Go back to C:\ProgramFiles\ then double click WindowsApps folder.
c. Click 'Continue' to permanently get access to this folder.
d. At this point, since your user account already have permission and ownership to the folder, clicking Continue will give you access to WindowsApps folder.
e. Close WindowsApps folder then open it again, you should no longer get the message 'You don’t currently have permission to access this folder' pop-up message.

After the above steps, please clear all your downloads folder or delete all downloaded Nitro installers. This step is important because we noticed that if you are saving all the installers and you download them in the same folder (like the downloads folder), the EXE can pick up any MSI installer in that folder and you may pick-up one of the older builds instead of the newly downloaded package.

Then install Nitro Pro 11 using below offline installers:
x64-bit: http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_1108470/en/burn/nitro_pro11_ba_x64.msi
x32-bit: http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_1108470/en/burn/nitro_pro11_ba_x86.msi

If you are not sure which to pick, this will help: https://kb.gonitro.com/knowledgebase#/search/64/000003790

After installation, you can activate by opening Nitro Pro, clicking on the Help tab > About Nitro Pro > Activate and entering your serial number.

Thanks for choosing Nitro and I hope this helps!

Hello @eam2020,

Yes. Nitro Pro 13 can also be activated on two machines as long you follow the rules outlined in our End User License Agreement (EULA):

'Licensee may install one copy of the Licensed Software on a single computer. The primary user of the computer on which the Licensed Software is installed may install a second copy of the software for his or her exclusive use on either a portable computer or a computer located at his or her home, provided the software on the portable or home computer is NOT USED at the same time as the software on the primary computer.'

Thank you for choosing Nitro and I hope this helps!
